White Socks

Oh hey, Leon and Lisa!  I'm diggin' your fleece and your man-leggings under shorts.  Though let's not wear white socks next time we hike in New Zealand.  Cool?

(I suspect sandals are hiding in the grass...)

Eye of the Needle, 1962

1962 postcard of the Space Needle

Jess Cliffe has a beautiful blog ( http://www.vintageseattle.org/), that is one of my personal favorites for inspiration.

Mt. Rainier (gettin' nostalgic)

Bean Boots

A wet August capped off with (underwhelming, though none the less rainy) Hurricane Irene got me thinking about appropriate footwear.  Due to my hatred of rain boots I needed to find another alternative for my sodden feet.  Enter Bean Boots.  All the protection of rain boots, none of the lame-ness (clunky, hella rubbery, obnoxiously brightly colored).  Plus, you can get ones with Gor-Tex.  Get excited.

One day I will make a pilgrimage to the L.L. Bean Factory and steal everything.  (Except for the awkward old person clothes that occasionally occur there.)

(This guy is my hero.  I might propose.)

Patagucci

patagucci

The finest, chicest brand of outdoor gear available. It's prices reflect the chic nature, urban-outdoor friendliness and fabulous color schemes that Yvon Chouinard's Patagonia company produces. A fave among the yoga-girl set. *
(Urban Dictionary)

Or, just rockin' the Patagonia with the Gucci.

*Yoga girls will not be addressed here.  If that is a problem; go back to Lululemon.
